Sounds like a good title for a song doesn't it?. Actually it's a good description of the two forum sites I used to frequent almost every night over the past couple of years including this site. I don't know about you but I'm just too damn busy to be lonely these days and from what I see so is everyone else. That's great news isn't it?
Back in the day we didn't stay in touch on line. We went out and saw each other play. We visited the music stores. We stayed in personal contact and we survived. The music survived. The clubs survived. Not only that but the music was hot and the gigs to be had were not a competition to get but a gathering of steam like a tornado spinning wildly out of control. We didn't think about it. It just happened. I hope that that is what is happening now.
It's so quiet on the forums that this must be the case. When it's like this all the problems with bands, gigs, club owners and fans seem to just be part of the mix and not screaming out for attention. Am I being just too idealistic to think that the music scene has been cured or has really entered a new era, a sort of starting of another cycle?
